SEGA New Mandates

A quote about the new rules Archie has to follow:

"Seems that in response to finding out about Archie messing up with the paperwork, Sega creates a whole bunch of new mandates with Archie.  Namely, they no longer have to publish Sonic Comics exclusively through Archie.  Plus, the plot of the comics must follow the games more closely.  Also, it seems that the only characters Archie can legally use are characters from the games, cartoons, and ones created by Ian Flynn.  So it looks like, for the forseeable future, Archie can't use anyone used by previous creators.  At this point, all I can see for how to get all those characters back is some kind of licensing contract akin to what it took to get Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars released outside of Japan.  And I doubt Sega will be willing to that.  If anyone has any ideas on how to get Sega to drop this, you are welcome to share."



Okay so basically, SEGA you fucked up, Look I don't know where to start anymore, I...can't even say who is in the right for doing what anymore, because SEGA is shortsighted with pretty much everything, first off, how can someone make a story when you give them nothing, how can you engage people when characters can only act one way.

The short answer is you can't, sub series or not  Sonic boom or not this series is only going to fail SEGA doesn't know what to do, SEGA sonic fans flock to SEGA like there the masters of the series when they don't essentially want a series themselves. And the only thing that is going to be deemed correct is from Ian Flynn some who can't write a story to save his life.

Thats all the series going to be, advertisement for the games, and roughly the games don't come out on a regular bases and when they do there often terrible to say the least. So now that was a game series that doesn't and won't have a story with its characters, we have a spinoff comic that writes itself in circles.

And in the meanwhile SEGA is trying to have a live-action CG film produced  I think vorhk said it best, if the film fails it can not only bea series killer but a creator killer as well. Sonic is not really liked in the gaming community and it starts wars in the fandom why else do you think this fandom is second worse to bronies  Sonic doesn't have very long and to think all of this could have been avoided if  one Archie just paid penders and took it up the ass like a champ, or if SEGA told a good story from the beginning.

We have meant discussions about what SEGA does, compared to what others do that right be it sony comparisons  etc, but here my thing,  SEGA doesn't seem to want to do the right thing, SEGA doesn't have much of a future from what I'm seeing and its honestly a shame and since Sonic is anthro and anthros are the forbidden sin call furrys no one else will considering by up his license from them.

Someone did tell me sega has other cross products featuring sonic so they will always have money, yes but that can only last so long, I don't trust sonic boom to save the series and I don't trust SEGA to do the right thing even if it did, because obviously SEGA doesn't want to make us happy, it doesn't want to make money it doesn't even want to be popular all Sega wants is control, and screw everything else. I don't understand how they just fuck up everything they do.
